The BMRA meets on Tuesday evenings, with a diverse membership matched only by the range of motorcycles ridden, including naked retros, cruisers, sport-tourers, classics, the odd sports bike and several outfits.
Committee meetings and club nights take place at the Hammer & Pincers pub, near Oldrids Downtown, and rides out meet up on The Green, Wide Bargate.
The club is affiliated to the Motorcycle Action Group (MAG), who are key players in the field of rider’s rights. They are also affiliated to the National Association of Bikers with a Disability (NABD), which helps disabled bikers get back on the road.
The BMRA is solely responsible for Boston Bike Night, which always takes place on the first Thursday evening in July, and is possibly the biggest biker-oriented event in the south of the county.
New faces are always welcome, and prospective members can attend one or two meetings or rides out to “try before they buy” their membership. Currently subscriptions are £17.00 for riding members and £12.00 for pillions and learners.
